About Africa Waterfall Safari Vacations

Africa Waterfall Safari Vacations is built on a simple idea: a waterfall is not a half-day stop. The great falls of Africa deserve the right month, the right side and enough time to see them in more than one light, and they sit beside some of the best safari country on the continent.

What this site covers

The waterfall atlas maps 23 waterfalls in 17 countries, each with heights, seasons and how to get there. The safari itineraries are sample routes you can adapt, the experiences section covers the activities people travel for, and the when to go guide shows water levels month by month.

Why waterfalls?

Africa's great waterfalls are where its rivers become visible: the Zambezi at Victoria Falls, the Nile at Murchison, the Orange at Augrabies. They are also the meeting points of its best safari regions. Planning around them gives every trip a natural shape, and a moment of real spectacle.

Every itinerary on this site is a starting point rather than a fixed package. You tell us your dates, budget, who is travelling and which waterfalls and wildlife matter most; we suggest a route, the right side of each waterfall for your month, and lodges at your level. You can change anything before you book, and the final quote lists exactly what is and is not included.
