The nearest town is Victoria Falls town (Zimbabwe) and Livingstone (Zambia). Fly into Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) or Harry Mwanga Nkumbula Airport, Livingstone (LVI). Matetsi Victoria Falls works well combined with 10 Days Victoria Falls, Hwange & Chobe.

Things to do from Matetsi Victoria Falls

The reserve has around 15 kilometres of Zambezi frontage, so days can mix game drives and walks with fishing, canoeing or boat trips on the river. The falls and Victoria Falls town are about 40 minutes by road, an easy half-day visit. The Kazungula border to Botswana, for Chobe, is about an hour away.

How long to stay

Three or four nights works well: one day at the falls and the rest on safari in the reserve. Victoria Falls: March–July for thundering water; August–December for clear views, Devil's Pool and rafting.
